The Going the Extra Mile 5K is a fundraiser that supports the ACTS Metro Outreach. ACTS Metro exists to meet the needs of those in the Columbia Metro area. 100% of the proceeds goes to
Outreach programs in various areas throughout our community. One of those areas is an elementary school that ACTS
Metro adopted to provide Outreach programs to help families in need with food, clothing, utilities, educational tools,
child mentoring, family mentoring and Adopt A Family at Christmas time. ACTS Metro also commits monthly food donations to
Sharing God’s Love and a yearly financial donation to help families with utilities. The ministry also commits time and financial
resources to Habitat for Humanity, Harvest Hope Food Bank and other outreach services in Columbia. ACTS Metro also has a
homeless project program that delivers food, clothing, and meets other needs of the homeless in Columbia.
These homeless project events are held a few times a year at Finlay Park.
